Pain |Iwaizumi x Reader|

It was the last set. Karasuno won one set and Aoba Johsai had another. The score was 25-24.
Your friend, Oikawa, invited you to the spring high prefecture playoffs. He thought there was a connection between you and Iwa-chan when you first met him.


Oikawa tugged your hand, leading you somewhere you never knew. Of course you didn't know where you were because he fuckin' blindfolded you.
"Oikawa~ Where are we going?" You asked.
"Somewhere~ It's gonna be great!!" He happily said.
For a few minutes you both walked, but then you stopped.
"We're here!!" Then Oikawa untied the blindfold from you.
You slowly opened your eyes. It was just the gym.
"Oikawa, isn't this the gym? And why did you have to blindfold me?" You looked at him with a pissed face.
"Actually, I brought you here to see my team play." He smiled. Then he pushed you inside. For awhile, nobody noticed you which was surprising. You realized that they were focused on the spring tournament. Oikawa left you because he had to practice too or else his best friend will hurt him. You were curious what his best friend looked like. You wanted to see their practice, so you waited. You greeted the couches and sat down the bench with them. It took you sometime to find Oikawa's best friend. You tried to look for the tough, strong guy that could easily beat up Oikawa. Suddenly you saw a guy jump into the air and smash the ball. The impact echoed throughout the gym like a gust of wind slapping you in the face.
It's definitely him.
The team was taking a break, so you decided to greet them.
"Oh, its her!!You guys this is-" Oikawa smiled.
"My name is ____. Nice to meet you." You held out your hand.
"____-chan!! I was about to introduce-" But then Oikawa was interrupted again.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Iwaizumi but you can call me Iwa-chan. Also I'm Oikawa's 'best' friend." He shook your hand.
"Iwa-chan, what do you mean by 'best', you are!! Plus stop interrupting me you guy's! It's rude." Oikawa had a mad face, but looked cute at the same time.
"You're rude." You and Iwa-chan said. Then you looked at each other.
"I guess you and me are the same." Iwa-chan smiled.
"I guess so. Should we make Oikawa even more angrier?" You grinned.
"That would be perfect!" Both of you looked at Oikawa. He was sweating like crazy. So the best plan for him was to run away. The team laughed, but two of the members had to chase him. 
For a few weeks, you and Iwa-chan teased Oikawa, until it was time for the prefecture.


Those were the good days. You smiled. But your memories were interrupted by the shouts of the team. 
"Chance ball!!" Shouted the Karasuno team.
Both cheering squad's were shouting, tension was built throughout the team. But then the ball landed outside of the court, soon Oikawa chased it down and pointed out his finger to Iwa-chan. The ball was going towards where Iwa-chan was hitting. It was like a slow motion, the ball at the exact point of Iwa-chan's palm. You thought it was going to hit the ground, but was soon received by one of the members. You knew it was over once the chibi smashed the ball at the perfect moment. Oikawa tried to receive it, but it hit the ground. Aoba Johsai lost.
After they thanked the staff, shook the other team's hand, and talked with the other team's couch. It was time to thank the cheering squad. You noticed that Iwa-chan had tears in his eyes while he was slowly walking. You almost teared up, but then Oikawa slapped his back and two other third years did too. You knew he had someone to help his back. They thanked the cheering squad and the crowd clapped, as did you.
It was time for the team to leave, so you went down the risers to meet Oikawa and his team.
Once you got down, you said to them. "You guys did great." The whole team teared up again. "Don't cry, there's always next year. Even if the third years are gone, you still are a strong team." Then Oikawa said.
"Thanks ____-chan. I think they needed that." Then he turned to his team. "Ok everyone, we're heading back and practice more." Oikawa clapped his hands.
"Yes." The team quietly said. Then they all left.
"Hey Oikawa, where's Iwa-chan?"
"You don't worry about me!! Fine. I'll let you pass. And I don't know where Iwa-chan is, probably in the locker room. Want to come with me?"
"You were calm when you handled your team!! I do care about you, but..." You looked away from him.
"But?~" He knew what you were going to say, but you were too shy."
"Nevermind!! Let's just go get Iwa-chan." You went behind Oikawa and pushed him. Suddenly Oikawa stopped. Then you looked in front of him. It was Ushiwaka. The atmosphere was cold, so... you ran away.
You went to the locker room and heard cries. Carefully, but gently, you opened the door to where the cries were heard.
"Iwa-chan?" You peeked inside. You saw his eyes were red and little droplets on his cheek. He quickly wipped away his tears.
"Um, ____. What are you doing here?" Iwa-chan said. His head down.
"I came to pick you up, but I'll tell Oikawa to wait." You were about to leave, but then.
"Don't leave." He whispered. You could barely hear, but you knew what he said. You sat next to him, but you were uncomfortable. The atmosphere was dense, you could barely breathe. What should I say to him? Thoughts were popping up, but then Iwa-chan said something.
"I really didn't want to lose. I tried my up-most ability to smash that ball, but I failed. I mean, that was dead on, I wasted a perfect toss." He remorse. 
You stood up and shouted. "Iwa-chan!! You are not like that. The first time I saw you, you were amazing. How you jumped and smashed the ball to the ground. Like there was nothing there, but you could easily hit it. You realized what you were trying to say, then your face was scarlet.
He chuckled. "Thanks ____. You cheer me up when I'm down, don't ya?" He smiled.
"Of course I do. That's what friends are for." You crossed your arms and looked at the ground, trying not to show your blossomed face. The tip of your shoes were hitting the ground lightly. 
"If you can cheer me up, then I have another pain that I'm holding." Then he stood up and walked towards you.
"Really? Then tell me and I'll fix it for you." You slowly walked backwards, but soon hit the lockers.
"There's a throb in my heart, that I can't find the antidote to fix it. But I think you can fix it." He put his forearm above your head.
You were confused and could barely think on what he said, because he was close to you. He slowly pulled your hands with his and made you touch his chest. Its beating a bit faster than usual. "Do you really feel pain? Or are you just-"
Slowly, he cupped your cheeks with his other hand, and pulled you towards his face. And kissed you. Your heart fluttered like a thousand butterflies. You thought his lips were rough, but it was soft. For a few minutes, you ended it and went back to looking at the ground. Your hands were on your mouth, but couldn't cover your red glow on your face. He chuckled again. But then heard something from outside. The door was slightly opened but both of you could see a figure. You heard, 'Oh shit!!'. The figure tried to run, but tripped. Both of you walked to the door, opened it and found a clumsy Oikawa.
"Oikawa." You and Iwa-chan said with a pissed face.
"Sorry~" Oikawa tilted and patted his head. Sticking his tongue out at the same time.
"Yeah right." Iwa-chan cracked your knuckles.
A few hours later, the team were curious why Oikawa had bruises on his face. But they probably knew it was from Iwa-chan.
